Germany – Antisemitic incident in Hagen

Hagen – On November 9, the anniversary of the November pogroms of 1938, antisemitic statements were shouted by a passenger in a bus in Hagen.

A witness reported to RIAS NRW how a passenger called loudly and repeatedly “Fucking Jews”. The reporting person intervened, spoke to the passenger about his antisemitic insult and announced that he would report it. “I was brought up that way,” he replied, justifying his open antisemitism.

Thanks to the intervention of the witness, the man stopped ranting and yelling. Neither the bus driver nor other passengers intervened or reacted to the clearly audible anti-Semitic statements.
