Brooklyn, NY – An employee of the Eat n’ Run kosher cafe on Coney Island Avenue in Brooklyn received an envelope Monday with a New Jersey postmark, without a return address.
“When I opened it, I saw a flyer with a swastika and something in German, and it said 1938,” said an employee.
It was a photocopy depicting a Nazi rally in Nuremberg. The employee did not want to be identified.
“I had grandparents and relatives who went through the Holocaust, and a lot of people perished,” he added. “It was really something that is not expected in America today.”
This restaurant is now at least the third Sheepshead Bay business to come under attack this week.
A TD Bank with a Jewish manager and Lucia Pizza with Jewish silent partners also received the same flyer.
The NYPD’s Hate Crimes Task Force is investigating.
