Stow, MA – Police in Stow, Massachusetts, are investigating an incident of antisemitic vandalism at a home that was discovered Saturday.

Stow police responded to a home on North Shore Drive at 9:42 a.m. on Saturday for a report that cars had been damaged overnight.

“To have it happen here is disgusting,” said neighbor Michael Gadomski.

Upon arrival, officers learned that tires on two cars had been slashed and that “Jew” had been carved into the side of one car.

“Especially with everything going on in our climate today, we want to make sure that they’re held accountable for their actions on this,” said Stow police Chief Michael Sallese.

Fresh burn marks were also found on several parts of the home, police said.

“But if they would have lost their lives or their home, it’s definitely more concerning than just the vandalism alone,” Sallese said.

The investigation is ongoing.

Anyone with information about the incidents or anyone who has noticed suspicious activity in the area is asked to call the Stow Police Detectives at 978-897-4545.

Police are also asking for residents to check their security cameras to help catch the perpetrator.

“Any video, photos of anything that happened in the area from Friday night to Saturday,” Sallese said.

A vigil will be held Tuesday night to condemn the act.

“A lot people out here, we don’t even lock our doors. But maybe that’s going to change having something like that happen in this neighborhood,” Gadomski said.

Last week, police in Stoneham, Massachusetts, were investigating after pieces of paper cut into the shape of swastikas were found on someone’s property on Whittemore Lane.

“It really breaks my heart that there are people like that still out here. It’s pretty sad,” said Alyson Addonizio, a friend of the family that was targeted. “It needs to stop.”

Stoneham police said detectives were actively investigating the incident and do not believe the incident was random.
