Hewlett, NY – A man on Long Island is under arrest and accused of harassing his neighbors.

Police say he left a package at their house covered with anti-Semitic symbols and remarks.

William Quigley, 52, was arrested on charges of harassment and stalking.

At midnight on Oct. 20, a 7-year-old boy woke up to the sound of screaming and when his parents looked at their doorbell surveillance camera, they saw a neighbor leaving a package at the house.

This victims have allegedly received unwanted packages from Quigley in the past and reported the incidents to police.

Police said the package had hateful symbols on the outside and letters with anti-Semitic remarks on the inside.

“Like for a few months, like for two months or so, he’s become super, super aggressive,” said Hewlett resident Alena Karat.

Prosecutors say his deteriorating health has not stopped him from hand-delivering hate to the one family in particular.

Officials say he stalked them repeatedly, left them messages, including about Auschwitz, and told them he had a shotgun.

Whether he planned to physically harm anyone remains a mystery, but what is without question is that his mental health was also deteriorating.
