Damascus – Bassam Al-Agha of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad’s “Al-Quds” Trade Union in Syria said in a show on Palestine Today TV (Gaza) that The Protocols of the Elders of Zion should be part of Arab school curricula and that Arab students should learn about the “goals and the danger of the Jews and about “how the Jews think”.

He also cited Quranic verses about Jews’ hostility to the Muslims and to humanity, and he criticized the West for considering this to be hate speech.”

Bassam Al-Agha: “We Muslims and Arabs understand the Western notion of hate speech differently. Allah said: ‘You shall find the strongest in enmity towards the believers to be the Jews and the polytheists.’ Does this constitute hate speech? These are the words of Allah. The West understands this to be hate speech. As a Muslim, I see this as a tenet of my faith.

“The Jews are the most hostile towards the believers and people in general. They admit this in The Protocols of the Elders of Zion, where they say: ‘We are God’s chosen people, and all the other nations must either die or turn into the slaves of the Jews.’ [The Jews] themselves say this.

“Why are The Protocols of the Elders of Zion not considered hate speech against humanity, whereas the Quranic verses that clarify and expose the historical crimes of the Jews are considered hate speech?

The Protocols of the Elders of Zion that was published by global Zionism, and which showed the world the goals and danger of the Jews and how they view humanity and the world — why isn’t this book incorporated into the curriculum and taught to students, so that Arab students know how the Jews think?”
