Antisemitic song in a restaurant in Leipzig

Leipzig – A group of young sang the so-called U-Bahn song as they left a restaurant. The song is about building a metro line from Jerusalem to Auschwitz and is associated with post-Holocaust antisemitism.

The group of ten, mostly men, rewrote the text so that an underground train would lead from Dresden to Auschwitz.

Again and again incidents are known in which the antisemitic song is spread. This occurs particularly frequently in the context of football, where Jerusalem is, as in this case, replaced by the city of the opposing team.
