The Ministry of Diaspora Affairs report on antisemitism for 2022

The annual report of the Ministry of the Diaspora, indicates that compared to 2021, which was a record-high year in the number of antisemitic incidents (following Operation “Guardian of the Walls“), the apparent trend in most countries in 2022 was an overall decrease in the number of antisemitic incidents, with the exception of the US, where a dramatic increase of antisemitic incidents was recorded.

Moreover, the report indicates a sharp increase in the number of violent antisemitic incidents globally and elaborates on three individual Jews who were murdered in France, while antisemitic motives being investigated.

The report also highlights a significant increase in antisemitic discourse online (both in the number of users who promoted antisemitic content and in the number of posts containing antisemitic content), while 68% of antisemitism online was anti-Israel (‘New Antisemitism’);

Furthermore, the report focuses on left-wing organizations that promote antisemitism with European Funding and on an increase in antisemitic discourse in the Palestinian arena, led by Palestinian leadership.
