Italy – “Track 21, The Simpsons deported to Auschwitz” on the walls of the Shoah Memorial in Milan was vandalized

Milan – One of the two murals of the series “Track 21, The Simpsons deported to Auschwitz” by the artist aleXsandro Palombo which appeared on the walls of the Shoah Memorial in Milan on 27 January on the occasion of Memorial Day was vandalized.

The artwork was defaced with black streaks and the yellow Stars of David that were on the Auschwitz uniforms worn by the Simpsons were all covered in black paint. “This vile antisemitic act highlights the danger of indifference, oblivion and forces us to a visual stumbling block that reveals reality, hatred, racism, cruelty and prejudice towards Jews. Any form of distortion of the Holocaust leads to Holocaust denial and anti-Semitism because it questions the reality and atrocities of the Holocaust.” declared aleXsandro Palombo.
