Italy – “Hitlerson 88”, the Lazio shirt of shame in the Rome derby

Rome – The shameful antisemitic chants, repeated once again by the Lazio ultras during the Rome derby, were not enough.

In the Monte Mario grandstand, at the end of the match, a shocking photograph was taken: a man wearing the “Hitlerson 88” shirt. Where the name is a clear reference to Adolf Hitler, while the number is a neo-Nazi reference.

The H, in fact, is the eighth letter of the alphabet and therefore 88 means “HH”, or “Heil Hitler”, the Nazi salute.
