Moscow – “The Ukrainian army harvests the organs of Russian prisoners and citizens, living and dead, and sends them for transplants in Israel, Turkey, India and South Korea”: this unbelievable blood plot is being spread by media in Russia, including one of the three largest newspapers in the country, following an interview given by Maj.-Gen. Dr. Vladimir Ovchinsky, (Владимир Овчинский) who was the head of Russia’s Interpol, a senior police officer with the rank of general, an adviser to the Russian interior minister and an expert in the fight against organized crime.
In several publications of conspiracy theories published in Russian media, it is claimed that this is an organ trafficking network operated by special units of the Ukrainian army, which harvests the organs of Russian soldiers and sends them to countries such as Israel, which are defined as “organ transplant superpowers”.
In an interview with the Russian newspaper “Moskovskij Komsomolets” (Московский комсомолец) – one of the three most popular newspapers in Russia – Ovchinsky accused Ukraine of turning the battlefield into a very profitable place because of the sale of the organs, and that dead and wounded are worth more to Ukrainians than oil and gas.
When asked where the organs are transferred, Ovechinsky replied that there are four countries known for massively carrying out organ transplants from illegal sources. In doing so, Ovechinsky created a bond between the network and the State of Israel, even though he did not explicitly say that the organs were coming to Israel. He even talked about the fact that in Israel there is a state-of-the-art technology for transplanting organs. Other media outlets in Russia took his words a step further, and stated as mentioned that the Ukrainian army harvests organs and sends them to Israel.
Ovchinsky expanded and claimed that equipment for removing and storing organs was transferred directly to the front line at the beginning of the war, into the hands of the armed forces of Ukraine. After the harvesting operations, he claimed, the Ukrainians burn the bodies like in Auschwitz or Dachau. According to him, there is information about mobile crematoria for destroying the remains of people who have harvested their organs.
Obchinsky added that the organ harvesting activity was done back in 2014, during the military conflict in the Donbass. According to him, among the body parts harvested by the Ukrainian army – liver, kidneys, pancreas, heart, lungs, intestines, cornea, middle ear, skin, bones, bone marrow, heart valves, connective tissue and more. As mentioned, in media in Russia it is written explicitly that the organs that are harvested are transferred to Israel, Turkey, India and South Korea.
Ovchinsky noted that human organs are removed not only from the dead, but also from healthy people – Russian prisoners of war or civilians who find themselves in the wrong place at the wrong time. Ovchinsky compared the Ukrainian forces to the Nazis.
