Belarus – Svetlana Zhigimont, a painter who is considered a regime supporter expresses antisemitic positions

Minsk – Belarusian painter Svetlana Zhigimont, who is considered a supporter of the regime, publishes antisemitic positions.

She chose to attack well-known Russian actress Liya Akhedzhakova, who is considered a critic of the regime following the war in Ukraine. Zhigimont expressed joy at the cancellation of Akhedzhakova’s show “My Grandson Veniamin”, alluding to her Jewish origin: “The old supporter of Bandra has been moved somewhere. The public hopes that it will be Ashdod or Kiev”.
