Germany – Attack on the Berlin holocaust memorial

Berlin – At the memorial to the murdered Jews of Europe, a man spat on a child, hit an old man and insulted a young woman in an antisemitic manner.

Police say the incident happened around 12:30 p.m. Thursday. The man is said to have suddenly spat on a five-year-old child on the corner of Ebert and Behrenstraße. Then he continued towards the Brandenburg Gate, but came back a short time later.

The next attack! The man is said to have hit an 80-year-old tourist on the back of the head with his flat hand. According to the police, he then insulted a 19-year-old woman in an antisemitic manner, and escaped unrecognized! According to the police, the young woman is not of Jewish faith.

The man fled in the direction of the Tiergarten. The police were still looking for him, but were unsuccessful. The state security has taken over the investigation into the physical injuries and the insult.
