Norrköping – The synagogue in Norrköping was subjected to a suspected arson attempt.

The synagogue is monitored by cameras and according to the congregation’s head of security, who for the sake of his family’s and his own safety does not want his name in the newspaper, there is both video and still images showing how two men climbed over the fence surrounding the synagogue to try to set fire on the gate of the building.

They entered private land, over a fence. Fortunately, it didn’t work properly, but it was put out by the weather, says the security manager.

The incident has been reported to the police and an investigation has been launched. According to the synagogue’s head of security, the suspects did not leave a message. They also wore no visible symbols on their clothing.
