Manhattan, New York, NY – The incident was posted on Twitter by another passenger, who called the incident a “scary case.” According to the eyewitness, “the Jew was doing nothing, except sitting on the train and minding his own business,” when a thug who was drinking from a bottle of liquor approached him and cursed at him.

The eyewitness, Angelica Christina, said that the man “harassed and cursed and defamed the Hasidic Jew while calling him derogatory names.” She wrote on Twitter: “Even scarier, he told the victim I can punch you and the NYPD won’t do anything about it.”

The attacker eventually got off the train. The eyewitness who goes by the name Angela tweeted: “I just had a bottle of vodka thrown at me while I was on the train during an anti-Semitic attack. A man harassed a Jewish man who did nothing but sit on the train and mind his own business. It was terrifying to see the man.”

She also wrote: The man in green sweatpants harassed the Jewish man while calling him derogatory names. This is happening to our city. I saw someone shoot a train last week and now this, our city is in massive decay and nothing is being done.”

She added “Even the man in green said he could punch him and the police wouldn’t do anything about it, you know what, he’s probably right, this city is scary.”
